What Sets Mullvad Browser Apart From Other Privacy Browsers?

When paired with a VPN, Mullvad Browser is the only standard browser I'm aware of which can thwart even "advanced" fingerprinters/trackers. Librewolf/Arkenfox/Firefox/Brave can merely fool "naive" trackers with their anti-fingerprinting techniques. Regular anti-fingerprinting or fingerprint randomization is fine for thwarting naive trackers, but having a unified crowd is the only way to thwart advanced trackers, which is what makes Mullvad Browser (and Tor Browser) unique.
This is something that was previously only possible with Tor Browser. Mullvad Browser can't provide the same network-level protections as Tor of course, but most people aren't threatened by network level threats, they are threatened by first and third-party trackers on the websites they visit, which a VPN (and this browser) provide more than adequate protection against, while also having much higher performance than Tor. This is why I'm very excited about this! 🙂
I am writing a fingerprinting overview page which will cover this stuff in much more detail. In the meantime the Arkenfox Wiki is an excellent resource for explaining advanced v. naive trackers and other fingerprinting-related concepts, albeit a bit technical. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgsYRwW-ASc
