How "manually" update Sailfish OS if the OTA is not detected // J-D video tutorial #4

It may happen that your Sailfish OS phone doesn't catch the OTA update, even outside the Early Release case. If you find yourself in the situation of not being able to download the next version, and your know your phone is supported, there are only 2 solutions left: re-flash your phone or... Force the update using the Terminal.

The video covers all the steps, from SSH connection with password creation, to the official terminal commands to update "manually".

// Warning // in the video the placeholder password "123456" is used, never use a password like this! Also remember - if not necessary - to disable SSH connections after the update.
