Gatekeeper Automatic Lock and Unlock Your PC REVIEW

The device is very simple. You have a USB dongle that plug into the computer and the included keychain can be register your computer to recognize. Along with the software, it's able to automatically lock and unlock your computer.
There's a few things that I notice was an issue. Once in a while, with the key in my pocket sitting at my desk, it would temporary lock my pc and then unlock within a few seconds. It seems like there was a loss of reception but it quickly come back.
The one inherent problem I notice with the gatekeeper has nothing to do with the device itself -- but my actual perception of it. So, you can set it to lock when you walk away, and unlock when you come back. But it's so easy for me to do Windows + L right as I'm walking away also. Now I have to leave my PC unlock and hope that the device will lock my pc once it doesn't see the key in range. In practice, this haven't fail me yet at all every time I test it (taking battery out, throwing the key far away while looking at my pc), there's a short 5-10 seconds where you are wondering if anybody is looking at your PC. And if you turn on the auto unlock features -- which is the whole point of this device, and you decide to manually LOCK your pc as you walk away, it will UNLOCK immediately.
The software is simple enough to use, but I feel like the proximity sensor needs to be even be better so that you can set it as close as 2-3 feet. Right now it seems like the closet I can set is about 10 feet. Also if the software gives you a little bit more option, such as delay unlock that would be cool as you approach your PC, sit down and watch it unlock. Or if I'm locking it manually myself, it should wait a few second before attempting to unlock -- Just give us those "advance" option somewhere in the software, to do those things for more "advance user" as everybody use case aren't' always the same.
Overall though, I'm pretty happy with the device. As I walk away, I see it locking my PC and as I come back the PC is usually already unlock for me (just depending on how fast you're running toward your pc). The only thing is that we have to Trust the software to lock your PC for you. One more thing, the key ring is Trash, don't use it, you'll lose your little Bluetooth key. Just use another one!
