Jims tools Restoration & stuff
part 3 , workshop is now roofed and watertight ! well untested watertight as had no rain for weeks ! , still to do , isolated spray area with extraction , seperated dirty area for de rust de paint tools prior to finishing , ( see floor of old shed for dirt that comes off them ) total cost so far even reusing old panels ( only rear and roof new ) 750 gbp . this includes wiring , lights sockets etc concrete, everything spent ! )
Welcome to hand tool restoration where old rusty tools get refurbished and restored. Inspired by youtube channels such as scoutcrafter , hand tool rescue , black beard projects and many others even wranglerstar, i enjoy watching other peoples videos so decided to give it a go . Im no camera man extraordinaire and sometimes forget to push record but aim to improve ! Every tool / restoration/ rescue is different and i do them all in my tiny workshop/shed/shop,.
They vary from small quick projects to vice , pipe wrench ,spanner strip down and resprays , everything is diy able , reasonably simple equipment and tools and some common sense .
In the future i will be having to build a much larger workshop as i am drastically restricted by space in my 9ft by 6 ft shed and hope to have gained the camera skills to video document this . Any hints or tips you can give would be greatly appreciated , along with comments on the speed of fast forward , no one wants to watch 20 mins wire brushing on the bench grinder .... ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoBrpEnDx60
