Tension – VCVRack Modular Synthesis | Ambient | Soundtrack

I guess I'm on a soundtrack-track-creating binge. This time based more on themes such as the Dark Knight's Robbery Prologue, I attempted to make something that would be more suitable for a film soundtrack with rising and falling tension.

In this piece, for the first time, I used MSCHack's mixer which provides multiple inputs and auxes while simultaneously providing a smaller footprint. In the video, I went through more of the sound design and thematic process of creating the track.

In experimenting and exploring VCV Rack, I've found the modularity and the variety of sound plugins to be such a boon in creating tracks like this. Even as I probably produce more tracks requiring other sounds and layers from other software and hardware, I'll definitely be comfortably using VCV Rack sync'd with them.
