Follow these steps to create a free encrypted email account on ProtonMail:

1. Go to the ProtonMail website, www.protonmail.com
2. Click on Sign Up on the top right corner.
3. Next click on "FREE Basic account with limited features".
4. Then click on "Select Free Plan".
5. Type in a username and select a domain name.
6. Choose a password.
7. If you have another email, use it as your recovery email.
8. Then click "Create Account".
9. Prove that you are human by using any of the verification options.
10. Then click on "Complete Setup" and wait for ProtonMail to create your account.
