What are Nameservers and what they do
HostMaria
A short video to explain what are #nameservers, and what they do.
Our Definition: Nameservers is the server component where your #DNS information is actually stored so that it is accessible by the internet.
Our Cloud infrastructure requires that users use various DNS records for it to work in full spectrum to provide you the infrastructure services.
Initially, when you buy your domain name, the domain registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains) will auto-assign their nameservers to your domain. We advise our users to:
- find the DNS manager at your Domain Registrar
- update these nameservers
- wait up to 72 hours later everything should work properly
Please use services like https://dnschecker.org/ (or similar) to see that this process is complete.
Now, once you wish to add any other DNS records to your domain name (for example, verify the domain with Google), just use our DNS manager to do so and the changes should happen globally shortly.
All your nameservers are = they are the DNS servers that actually contain your information and are accessible to the internet. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=noVmUbm83Ag
