How to Create phpinfo File and Check PHP configurations Using a Browser
HostMaria
This is a short video on how to create a simple #phpinfo file and how to check your #PHP configurations using a browser.
- Go to the folder of your domain name - most often public_html
- Create a new file and name is phpinfo.php
- Right-click on this file and click to edit it - for the stackcp dashboard users it will be "Code Editor"
- Copy and Paste the following 3 lines of the code from https://pastebin.com/YRdBz4k2 (or rewrite manually following the #tutorial on the screen) and press Save:
- Now you will have a phpinfo.php file in the directory of your domain name
- In a browser, type in your domainname and add /phpinfo.php and press enter
The same result can be achieved by using any text editor on your computer. Create the phpinfo.php file by following the same steps from before, then uploading the file to your server’s public_html folder through an FTP client.
If you are a StackCP dashboard user and don’t know how to configure an FTP client, such as FileZilla, here is a short tutorial on How to set up FTP: https://youtu.be/57xWx9dtNtw
