One of the Biggest Business Mistakes: Letting Customers Disrespect Your Boundaries

So one of the biggest mistakes businesses make is letting customers disrespect your boundaries. Obviously if money is more important than your sanity none of this really applies. Being able to say no and walk away is an useful skill. Examples of boundaries I have had people violate:
- Trying to make their emergency your emergency
- Changing terms of the transaction after the fact
- Randomly showing up when they shouldn't
Also in the end it isn't just about your sanity it is about everyone's sanity as a whole. Allowing these bad behaviours just trains people that they work to accomplish a goal. If everyone put their foot down when people are unreasonable then behaviours might change for the better overall.
