Abiword - Word Processor with Emacs or Vim Mode - Linux GUI

Want to take notes with an open source word processor? Want the power of vim or emacs hotkeys? Good! go use Abiword then http://www.abiword.org/

1. install abiword

2. edit the profile ~/.AbiSuite/AbiWord.profile ~/.config/abiword/profile

3. add in under Scheme and custom section KeyBindingsCycle="1"

4. Save file

5. Open Abiword, hit F12 to toggle between the modes
