Pixelmator text into shapes to create a logo
David Allen
In this video I have created a logo in Pixelmator using the functionality where you can change text into a shape that can be edited. The text and also the shape our vector graphics and do not suffer any jaggies. It is very easy to select drawing notes and to extend part of a shape to make its longer or thinner, in fact it can be different in any way you like. Each part of the text becomes individually selectable and editable and yet is still treated as though it is just one shape for the purposes of filling with a colour.
It is quite simple to draw a logo in Pixelmator version 2.2 blueberry and add drop shadows, outlines and even in-line shadows. There is now even more control for creating shadows and affecting the style of the text and shapes that you create. I even show you how you can create shapes and make them reusable by adding them to the shapes palette in Pixelmator.
