Kids Learning Linux Commands with a Treasure Hunt #shorts
David Allen
I did a treasure hunt for the kids. I put the instuctions into Obsidian so they had to use search to find them. Then they had to use the Raspberry Pi to get to the images in the folder structure. Get to the right folder in Terminal. Use Steghide to get the cryptographically hidden text file in the picture. use the cat Linux command to see the contents of the txt file they extracted.
All of that to get a clue where the treasure was hidden.
We all had fun. The kids are 6 years old and 8 Years old. The 8 year old had the job of instructing his dad how to do it and help his little sister. Shows he had learned stuff during the process.
