Are you a content creator looking to get more out of your Streamdeck? Bettertouchtool (BTT) is just the tool you need. BTT is an incredibly powerful custom macro tool that can be used with your Streamdeck to automate tasks, assign hotkeys to applications, trigger system events, and much more.
Using Bettertouchtool with Streamdeck is a great way to increase your productivity when creating content or just to make things easier in general. Here’s how to get started:
- Connect Your Streamdeck - Now you’ll need to connect your Streamdeck and configure it in BTT. To do this, open BTT and go to the ‘Add Gesture’ menu. Select ‘Keyboard Shortcut/Hotkey’ and then select your Streamdeck from the drop-down menu.
- Start Setting Hotkeys - Once your Streamdeck is connected, you can start setting up hotkeys for applications. For example, you could assign the hotkey ‘Cmd+Shift+1’ to launch your video editing software. To do this, go back to the ‘Add Gesture’ menu and select ‘Keyboard Shortcut/Hotkey’. Then select the hotkey you want to use and type in the command to launch the application.
- Create Macros - BTT also allows you to create macros that can be triggered from your Streamdeck. These macros can do anything from launching applications to running scripts. To create a macro, go to the ‘Add Gesture’ menu and select ‘Macro’. Then select the hotkey you want to use and enter the information for your macro.
