Alfred V2 Using WorkFlows 1
David Allen
Much of the good and extra benefit that you can get from using Alfred the Mac app launcher is with the workflows that are new in version 2. The Alfred app launcher comes with a few example workflows that you can install directly in the application in the preferences. There is also a website that you can go to called http://www.alfredworkflow.com/. On this side there is a long list of workflows that is continually growing. There are number of the workflows on there which are suitable just for the nerds and the geeks, but there are also some workflows which are extremely useful for us normal people.
In this video I look at two or three of the workflows that I have downloaded. One of them is for users of Bitcoin, another one is called Append to Journal. This is very useful if you want to take a quick note and keep adding to a single file with a date and time attached to your note. It is quick and simple to use and I think it is very useful.
The other workflow that I have highlighted in this video is a URL shortener Which gives you a choice of five different else shorteners, including bit.ly and Google.
you can make your own Workflows and we will look at that in another video.

Part of being a nerd is to drive the future - I have an electric car and I show what it is really like being an owner driver of a Nissan Leaf. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjhxAhHqCHY
