God's Holy Spirit is integral to the process of salvation. It is the Spirit who convicts us of our sin and draws us to the Father. Jesus promised, "And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment" (John 16:8). The Holy Spirit calls us to repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Upon accepting Jesus, the Spirit indwells us, marking the beginning of our new life in Him. "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise" (Ephesians 1:13).

So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed. (Acts 19:20, KJV)
