Our honest feedback
Atomic Trail is a dark, atmospheric, and uncaring game that was inspired by Oregon Trail. You're given a randomized backstory and party with a small handful of supplies. Then you are tasked with walking across the dangerous landscape in hopes of reaching city hall, where you may be able to learn what exactly happened to the world you once knew.
This is the second game that we take a look from a very prolific creator that makes game by the dozen ( which really impresses us and that we will have to ask him for his secret). Set in a very dark world and game view, you are basically moving forward knowing nothing about what happened to your world, and you need to move forward with a set of small resources that you had select at the beginning of the game.
Different mini-puzzles will be prompted in based on different random events, and based on what ever you are successful are not, the life of the members of your group will stay or start to decrease down to Oblivion.
The looks are the game in a very dark and green color palette is very interesting, and although we were not able to capture the sound track of the game, there is one very interesting with different nuances depending on what is happening.
We selected basically the game to show the possibilities of Gdevelop to support different types of games, although in this case, most of the text that is used is displayed at once without any scrolling or any other effect. Dialogues are almost non existents, and sometimes the minipuzzles are maybe too difficult from a starting point and could have been better balanced.
