DEFOLD Game Engine Examples: SHIPWRECK!

Continuing to what we think is the best way to showcase a technology, through its games,, and in this case for the DEFOLD GAME ENGINE; with a cool little puzzle game created for the Ludum Dare 49, SHIPWRECK!.

Our honest feedback The main idea of the game is very interesting, you are lost in the middle of the ocean float on a small shipwreck where we have to collect coins to progress ( not exactly where) by collecting coins. The first coin is easy as it is near you, but when in the next levels, the coins are in other shipwrecks and you have to move them or jump between them by jumping in different parts of the platform, which will result in the platform moving in one different direction and getting you closer to the other shipwrecks.

The main idea of the game is very interesting and is correctly implemented, the graphics are very simple but very efficient in creating the right mood for the game.

The controls are very precise and somewhat difficult, because when the platforms move while you are jumping, you may fall to the sea.

Probably adding more types of shipwrecks with more physical parameters, and more obstacles to difficult the task of collecting the coins could finish making this game into something really interesting.

It was originally bought and used by King Entertainment, which later on gave it back to the Defold Foundation. King still uses the game engine in some of its games.
