CONSTRUCT 3 Game Engine SHOWCASE: IN THE NAME OF THE HOSE

As we are introducing a new serie of Construct 3 game engine tutorials, we are also adding showcases of games made with the engine. In this case, an adventure with watercolors visuals very interesting.

Our honest feedback The game has a very cool art style that makes it standout when browsing through the list of games made in Construct 3, and makes you wanting to play it. The game has been developed for a game jam AdventureJam 2020 and try to replicates the feeling of a children book. As an adventure, it follows the typical patterns of finding the matching object/use and then move on to the next challenge. Usually, in the latest adventures, designers have tried to avoid, what is is vulgarly known, pixel chasing or the need of moving the mouse pointer across all the pixels of the screen as to be able to find an object or something to interact.

In the case of this adventure, we had in some occasions to do it at a certain level, as some of the objects where so matched to the colorful background that we were not able to find it.

Nether less, a very interesting adventure with some cool art that would be very interesting to see in more advanced and longer story. It is definitively a very good showcase of what is possible to do with Construct 3.

Construct 3 is a commercial game engine developed by Scirra, and that is a friendly engine to enter the game development arena. In its free version, Construct 3 is allowing developers to use up to 40 events. After those you need to purchase a license
