Create depth using this technique | Digital Painting Demo Timelapse | Art Set 4

A combination of strong contrast and creative placement of elements can help you create an illusion of depth in your painting.

This is a timelapse video with no voiceover.

In this video, I am using a very dark, almost black background. Notice how the foliage around the subject appears to be receding into the darkness. This effect which creates the illusion of depth.
