Signs signs everywhere signs ..... when you live by the seasons as more foragers do, you notice things maybe others don't. What are you noticing around your homesteads and gardens that's unusual for this time of year? This has been a crazy weather year, I was doing my first bee inspections in February and march, early spring vegetables didn't produce much because they got hit by a heat wave in April and may .... and now in the hottest months of the summer I am noticing trees that bloomed way earlier in the year are also starting to have leaves change colors already while elderberry I normally don't harvest until early-mid October is almost ready to harvest end of July. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuHBSHvzcRA
