fastest easiest adding new chickens to existing flock integration #chicken #flock #coop #integration

This is the fastest easiest stress-free way for adding new chickens to an existing chicken flock integration. I came up with and have used this method for years to integrate baby or new chickens into an existing flock. It works every single time and i do it the exact same way 3 or 4 times a year (except for the cancer battle years) raising dual purpose meat and egg chickens (Saves freezer space by not raising meat birds all at once). It never takes longer than 14 days and often times can be done in as little as 7 days. For this video, i show you what i use for equipment, how i set everything up, and all the checkpoints you will see along the way. Those checkpoints allow you to gauge your coop integration progress so you know you can speed up or slow down the timeline to "you're own your own now". I've never lost a chicken this way. It never takes 4-6+ weeks like others say it takes. I've done this in as little as 7 days but did the longer 14 day version for this video. I can't think of a single time it took more time than 14 days.
You don't even need to use the same equipment but chances are, you already have most of it if you are a homesteader. I mean, I originally used the large cage for transporting multiple baby goats. The tote was used to store off-roading gear in the truck and jeeps. The smaller cage was used also for transporting single baby goats or rabbits. You can use anything equivalent to these items but the large and small cage is kind of important because it protects the new chickens from the existing flock during their first week in the run but there is enough of a gap between the cage sides to allow the new and existing chickens to see each other and sort-of mingle to some degree.
