Warpinator - Simple Network File Transfer Utility for Desktop and Android
Eric Adams
Hello once again everyone. It's been a very long time since I've made a video but I'm back with a quick app suggestion. I have been needing to transfer files between my phone and computer and tried using KDE Connect/GS Connect but was having problems, the worst of which was actually losing data.

I had tried Linux Mint recently and remembered that they now include a file transfer utility called Warpinator. It is also available as a Flatpak or it can be manually installed as well. I opted for the Flatpak version and also installed the Android app from the Google Play Store. It is also available via F-Droid if that is your preference.
Once they are both installed and launched, they will scan the local network for other nodes. Once they find each other you are able to send files from one client to another. The speed is dependent on your local network but I have found it to be completely acceptable.
I could, of course, just use a cable to transfer the files but I find this to be much more convenient. Hopefully, this is something that you can use to make your life just that much easier.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. Please like and subscribe if you are so inclined. I appreciate your time and feedback and wish you a very happy and healthy day!
