Why Overclocking In The Early 2000s Used To Suck

It worked, but there was no overclock options in the BIOS, so I tried a software that increases the FSB clock. Since it was an Intel motherboard, there was no way to change the clock speed via software, so I resorted to the only other option. Back in the early 2000s, people often had to resort to hardware overclocks because the software was locked down. This is done via breaking or covering CPU pins or taping over the metal pads. I discuss the difficulty I encountered trying to pull this off, and what I learned from the attempt. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAXcir1onuw
