There is no dynamics, not a single hand-animated keyframe. 100% procedural motion done with MEL expressions and applied to sculpted blendshapes.
This is another example of the use of noise function for generating of natural movement. The formula is exactly the same as in my drone animation (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7ykjT7lKQ4). It's "noise(timespeed + offset + 111.111seed)*magnitude".
The grandpa is appearing to be having a conversation, though in reality he's not saying anything at all. The movements are completely random.
