Techlib's Super Sensitive Ionization Chamber/Radiation Detector
electronicsNmore
In this video you will see a very nice, super sensitive, ionization chamber(Radiation Detector). If you check my video list, you will see that this unit has been modified for this new, more sensitive circuit. My old circuit consisted of 2 sets of darlington transistors. (2) NPN's and (2) PNP's. The new circuit uses a 9V to 50V multiplier circuit, as well as a lm358, and Jfet. Total current consumption is 1.1mA. The sensitivity is VERY good! In this video I test the unit with a uranium glass bead bracelet, and thorium mantle.
This circuit CAN BE TRICKY if you do not follow all the instructions/recommendations listed in the link below. If you have any issues, do not hesitate to post them here, or send me an email.
