How To Make A Proximity Detection Alarm!

How to make a simple proximity detection circuit using a cd4049 Inverter IC. To adjust the circuit you rotate one or both trimmer capacitors until the alarm just goes off(threshold area). Once the alarm is off, you then continue to SLOWLY adjust the trimmers until your hand can trigger the alarm as it approaches the metal plate. Maximum distance is around 6 or 7 inches from the plate or circuit board.
