Handheld Push-Pull Generator ~ Perfect Super Capacitor Charger!
electronicsNmore
In this video you will see a small, easy to operate, push and pull generator that I made from parts I had laying around. The principle is basically the same as a shake flashlight, but no shaking is used. The generator will produce a maximum voltage around 15V using a moderate push and pull action. This generator does an excellent job even using slow push and pull action. A 10MM Ultrabright LED will light at full brightness with only (1) pull or push stroke. This generator will do an excellent job charging super capacitors, and is very handy to have in the event you need a way to charge a device back up when no other methods are available. I made this generator using (2) large solenoid coils wired in series, (1) 1/2" x 3/4" N38 Neodymium magnet(using a stronger magnet will yield a higher output), a full wave bridge rectifier, and a 16V 3300uF capacitor.
