AMD vs Nvidia Gaming Performance On Ubuntu 14.04

#AMD or #Nvidia graphics - which is the dominant #GPU on Linux? We'll look at 4 sets of benchmarks to determine which GPU is the better choice on Linux.

I think everyone who uses Linux for gaming is aware of AMD's foul reputation for driver support on Linux. Now that I have both AMD and Nvidia cards, I can compare them side by side. And I'll say that installing AMD drivers on Linux makes installing Nvidia drivers look like a joke.

As far as raw gaming performance goes, Nvidia clearly has the upper hand. In the synthetic GPU performance benchmarks, the AMD card did quite well. In the actual gaming performance benchmarks, the AMD GPU fell down and never got back up. #AMDVSNVIDIA ~~ Support the channel!
