Host your own Heroku / Vercel with the Open Source Project Caprover
Eddie Jaoude
There are so many scary stories of developers getting large bills on cloud hosting providers for their projects. This has happened to me when users have wanted to increase their stats on one of my SaaS platforms. This doubled my cost on Vercel and Mongo Atlas overnight.
I want to avoid this, so with the Open Source project Caprover and a CIVO VM (which has fixed hosting costs), I am able to achieve this for all of my projects.
In this video I show you how to set up a Caprover on your server, which is effectively a Docker container. I also walk you through how you can host your projects and publish them via a GitHub Action.
