CDC Are the New Language Police - Institutional Failure

The CDC are one of many institutions in the Western world that are choosing what is expedient over what is correct to the detriment of society as a whole. In ignoring Obesity's role in killing countless Americans through preventable diseases and through worsening their Covid outcomes the CDC took the easy path, as many American institutions do. It is difficult to lose weight, and is certainly not as easy as waiting for a miracle shot. It is difficult to save money, and certainly not as easy as hoping Social Security and other government programs will provide for you in your old age. But to take the easy way out is to be one of the 78% of Covid patients that are obese, or to be forced to work until you die because you didn't go through the pain of denial of pleasure for a greater good for decades. But the truth is that we must make the hard decisions in our lives, and that until our institutions stop promising things they can't deliver that our society will rest upon a foundation of lies.
