digitalmonkeyschool
Did you ever wonder how to match Scene Lights and World (background) with Viewport Lights and World? We are putting mystery to rest in this Tutorial. We also will learn how to set up Nice lighting really easily.
Let’s check to make sure in our Properties Add-ons that Node Wrangler is on.
Next, let’s find an HDRI texture. We could go online and download HDRI texture https://www.textures.com/ https://polyhaven.com/hdris good places to start looking. Or we can use HDRI textures that come with Blender and are used to light Material Preview Mode.
Go to Shading Preferences and click on HDRI sphere then hold the mouse over HDRI icon that you like, its name will appear like “forest.exr
Go to window’s quick search and look for that file, copy path.
In Shader Editor change Object to World
Click to select Background node, press CTL+T
In Environment Texture click Open.
In Directory File Pass paste file location, press Enter to go to the location.
Now when you render it will match your viewport :)
