Raspberry Pi Home Server Episode 3: Base Software - OpenMediaVault - Docker - Portainer - Overclock

In this video we'll look at configuring OpenMediaVault as well as installing Docker and Portainer.

After that is complete, we'll overclock our Raspberry Pi 4 a bit and install a monitoring service in Docker to keep tabs on our system health.

Overclock Commands and entries SSH into your Pi and run this command: sudo nano /boot/config.txt

Then add these lines and save: over_voltage=2 arm_freq=1750 gpu_freq=750

RPi-Monitor Docker Container SSH into your Pi and run this command:

docker run --device=/dev/vchiq --volume=/opt/vc:/opt/vc --volume=/boot:/boot --volume=/sys:/dockerhost/sys:ro --volume=/etc:/dockerhost/etc:ro --volume=/proc:/dockerhost/proc:ro --volume=/usr/lib:/dockerhost/usr/lib:ro -p=8888:8888 --name="rpi-monitor" -d michaelmiklis/rpi-monitor:latest
