RISC-V and Linux on RISC-V
DJ Ware
In this episode of the CyberGizmo we explore the open Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) specification called RISC-V and how Linux will support it
To be fair Intel has been adding cores, and their instruction set includes compatibility with their original chips all the way back to the 8008 / 8088 (why, I have no idea) but maybe someone is still running CP/M?, MS/PC-DOS?
I didn't leave Arch off the list accidently, they have an empty github page, but so far no activity on a build https://github.com/archlinux-riscv/archlinux-riscv.github.io/blob/master/index.md
You can learn more about RISC-V at https://riscv.org/
