This video took months to make and was over half an hour long, but since probably not that many would want to watch a ton of details that don’t even matter in the end (due to most fans being pretty much trash) I had to omit, skip and simplify.

Each fan was tested at least 3 times on each setting - to listen to the sound signature, test wind and audio level fluctuations. Powered via power banks, computers, phones via otg, power bricks - both smart and powerful and cheap/old/Apple 5V1A, 5V2A…

I can upload bigger audio samples somewhere for you to have a better listen, YouTube sort of messes it up a bit (and takes a LONG LONG time to even find out about it, the original video file is over 60GB that takes 2-3 hours to upload, than about the same time to process… rinse and repeat - wasting days on just that)

The wind spread is also hard to demonstrate and depends on the distance. Initially I was going for 3 different “distances” - handheld with bent arm, stretched out hand and a bit further… But again that would require making the video even longer (and no good way to demonstrate as I don’t have specialized tools.. Moving the anemometer for a few centimeters, recording the results and trying to make a 3D visualization would require an insane amount of effort when the TLDR: Xiaomi fan has the best performance, the turbine fan is probably second place as far as blowing air into a very focused tiny area).
