How to Use ADR in Davinci Resolve Fairlight

⭐️ Stupid-Fast Tutorials You May Have to Rewind

(recorded this in 2020, idk why I never uploaded it 😂)

1. Click on the Input button for the track you’re recording to and patch both audio sources on the left to the appropriate tracks on the right.
2. On the ADR tab, within the Setup section, set your audio source to your USB interface, and your destination to the appropriate track number.
3. Over in the List section, it's good practice to paste, or write, dialogue cues for what you're going to be recording, rather than leaving it to memory.
4. Then, in the Record section, you can choose which line of dialogue you're going to be focusing on.

PRO TIP: It's, of course, helpful to be able to read your lines as you're recording so that you don't have to do it by memory.

In the playback window, we can see our dialogue, but it's getting cut off at both ends. To fix this, I create lines breaks back over I the List section.
