I know there are a lot of other great "how to code" channels on YouYube, so thank you for choosing mine.
Your support goes a long way. If you are new to the channel and interested in what I have to say, consider subscribing.
First I want to say, you can't become a web developer in three months, so stop asking that question. It won't help you.
Saying this, watching YouTube coding or programming videos can stumble your progress.
There are plenty of great learning videos, but there are also videos that seem to add value but ultimately do not, and are more for entertainment purposes.
Nothing wrong with watching videos for entertainment. Just don't fool yourself for thinking that you are getting better at coding.
There is no difference between playing video games, watching Netflix, or binging on coding videos on YouTube that are taking time away from actual coding.
Lol, please don't stop watching my channel.
Here is what I recommend.
Set a limit on how much time you spend on youtube watching coding videos vs actually studying or doing work. After you complete a tutorial on YouTube, do not go and do another tutorial. Instead, try to recreate what you build from scratch. When you get stuck, DO NOT GO BACK ON YOUTUBE. It will only suck you back in. Go on Google instead. Read blogs on the solution or documentation on what you are trying to learn. Understand that there is no substitute for actually building a project and coding. If you code 1 hour and spend 4 hours on youtube. Don't expect big things from your self.
I hope you found these tips helpful. Most of you probably already knew this, but it's much harder in practice than just talking about it.
The reason for this video is to keep me honest too. I can't say that i haven't fallen into this trap.
Lol, but acknowledging the problem, you can now take your first step towards recovery.
As always, thanks for watching. Now go and build something.
Happy coding. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4X30WiLiCY4
