The goal of this channel is to help you keep your expectations realistic while working towards your goal of getting a job as a web developer or landing your first freelance gig.

I want to talk about why Strapi cms might be a better choice than firebase.

If you are just starting to learn web development to get your first job. And looking for a backend to power your React JS or Next JS application.

Building one from scratch is not recommended in this stage, especially if you are a self taught programmer.

Many alternatives allow you to set up an easy-to-use API backend. But the two most popular are Strapi and Firebase.

So if you are trying to make a decision or if using Strapi in 2021 is for you, keep watching this video.

The one reason why I don't use firebase is I want to have the flexibility to use any database that I like. As well as the option to use Restful API or GraphQL.
