I am sure you all have seen the "How Actually To Get Hired In 2024 ". Yeah, right. Everyone loves giving advice, including me, but the truth is, nobody knows. But I had to add my two cents to the conversation; this is what I would say.
"If you're wondering how to actually get hired in 2024, this video is for you". At least that is what all the youtube influencers say. "We'll share tips on landing a dev or tech job and becoming a developer in 2025."
I want to know what I am doing during this interesting time and how I am trying to improve my coding skills and stay relevant when the job market recovers.
Forget the quick fixes and magic formulas. It's about building connections, attending meetups, contributing to open-source projects, and getting so good at what you do that they can't ignore you.
I got my first job after four and a half years of effort! It's a marathon, not a sprint.
