When first starting out learning to code, the most common mistake that you can make as a beginner programmer is to go down the youtube "rabbit hole" of videos that give advice on information that is completely useless to you at your current level and will waste your time.
Took me a while to figure this out and this is why I unsubscribed from most of the channels that I used to follow.
The truth is that as a beginner you just need to "build" projects. You will learn more from your failures and trials than from watching videos.
Unless you are following a specific tutorial, but we all know the truth.
Most likely those are not the videos you are watching. You are probably watching the "feel good" type of videos from YouTubers that want to motivate you.
Nothing is wrong with that. One day I want to be a YouTuber, but I am a programmer first. So I spend most of my time coding and so should you.
The extra time spent on those feel-good videos is the time you are not using to build and learn something new.
Well, that's my two cents.
p.s. Motivation is not your problem, I never feel motivated to do anything, but I just sit down and start coding. And day by day it gets easier.
If you still need motivation, ask your mom or dad. ( j/k ) It doesn't work I tried.
Let me know in the comments your thoughts and struggles, and definitely send me links of your first project. I would love to see them.
here is a link of one of my basic, super simple HTML, CSS and JAVASCRIPT projects I did.
