To become a web developer you don't need to take lots of courses you just have to be intent full in the few that you take.

You need to take one full HTML and CSS course, then build one project.
You need to take one full Javascript course and complete one project.
You need to take on JS Framework class, can be React Js, Vue Js, or even Angular. Complete one project.

Once you are done, you will have completed 3 full courses and have 3 projects for your portfolio.

Pro-tip. Don't use the tutorial projects, build your own.
