Linux Kernel 4.19 Overview
Chris Titus Tech
This video is an overview of Linux Kernel 4.19. The RC was released in October of 2018, but it is now out of Release Candidate and I have installed it on my Ubuntu 18.04 distribution. This kernel has some major changes and updates that you will want to have.
Before we get started on this overview there are a couple acronyms that are being used that I want to explain. DRM = Direct Rendering Module Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_Rendering_Manager
VKMS = Virtual Kernel Mode Setting Effort https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_Rendering_Manager#Kernel_Mode_Setting
The features I am going over are directly pulled from Phronix. Here is the source Article: https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=linux-419-features&num=1
