How do you write a DOS game? #DOScember #DOScember2023
In this video we'll talk about how to make a game for DOS that targets an #Olivetti #M24 computer with 640k of RAM, #CGA graphics, PC-Speaker sound (generated with MONOTONE, a very cool DOS #tracker also used for making the music for the 8088mph demo), and keyboard input. We'll take a look at its source code, and how to build it using the Open Watcom C compiler from the #FreeDOS distribution using #DOSBox. We'll finally run the game on an Olivetti M24 machine emulated by #86Box.
