OpenAI just fired their CEO. The company, most commonly known for ChatGPT, let go of their co founder and CEO Sam Altman in a surprising series of events. Only days after they announced they had to shut down ChatGPT Plus signups because they couldn't handle a load anymore, the board announced that they do no longer have confidence in his ability to continue leading OpenAI, due to the lack of honesty in his reporting to the board.

OpenAI declined to further comment on the allegations when asked by news outlets.
