Fixing a bug in our LLM RAG app with GitHub Copilot Workspaces and Claude

Today's live code hangout focused on fixing a bug in our open-source FastAPI chat application that uses a vector database for prompt augmentation. We addressed an issue where the sources toggle was opening all at once due to non-unique identifiers. After fixing the bug, we ensured each toggle operates independently by adding unique IDs using UUIDs. We also optimized the imports and paths, and cleaned up some unnecessary JavaScript, relying on HTMX and Bootstrap for UI interactions. This session highlighted the use of LLMs like ChatGPT and Claude for generating prompts and debugging.
