Fighting For Free Speech On The Blockchain (DESO and ICP)

Looks like they are trying to get rid of Russell Brand and UK lawmakers have even asked for him to be removed from Rumble even. They are rolling out the allegations and we really have seen this over and over again. This is a reoccurring theme that we need good decentralized platforms for free speech but it is a hard thing to pull off properly. A couple cryptos that I recently looked into a little more is DESO and ICP which provide the ability to actually provide storage right on the blockchain instead of just links to other centralized storage solutions. This could possibly be a step in the right direction if it is somewhat efficient.

Seems like there aren't that many people on the DESO solutions and ICP has really taken a beating as far as the price is concerned. The tokenomics might be such that it keeps bottoming out the price of it. Both of those solutions are on Coinbase but oddly enough the top crypto social media platforms aren't on Coinbase, Kraken, or Gemini which is honestly pretty crazy if you think about it. Also the top social media chain HIVE isn't in the top 100. ICP is really an entire layer 1 so people can create all kinds of other tokens out there.

I haven't taken a position in DESO or ICP but I'm going to continue to watch them and keep an eye on them.
