Bob walks through the features of the Dell Latitude 7212 tablet. This unit weighs in at 4.98 pounds which do help give it a rugged feel but it could get old after a while. The 7212 comes with a front 5-megapixel camera and a rear 8-megapixel camera. The unit showcased in the video is upgraded to include an RJ45 NIC port. Another thing that this Dell has is 3 programmable buttons, a volume control button, and a windows button. The programmable buttons are the P1, P2, and P3 keys. One weak point of this 7212 is that the speakers are not the best. Given that this is a rugged tablet, designed to be productive in rough environments. There is corning gorilla glass on this unit that helps make it more rugged. The ports that come on this Dell tablet include a USB power port, a USB port, and an audio port. It also comes with dual hot-swappable batteries. Dell says that you should be able to get 4 hours out of each battery on its own, while the other is charging. But together they rate the batteries to be able to give a 9-hour battery life. This unit also has rubber corners to help stop some of the impacts if you were to drop it. This Dell is also built to military standards so it is able to withstand a four-foot drop. The port covers on the 7212 tend to click into place really well. The only thing about them is that some of the time, it feels like you have to press pretty hard in order to get them to click incorrectly. This tablet is also a hybrid, similar to the Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 but, we didn't have the keyboard on hand to demonstrate that because, unlike the CF-33, the keyboard is only an option with the 7212 and does not come standard. One thing about the keyboard that comes with this unit is that there are some reviews that say that the touchpad is "finicky" and Bob believes that is because the touchpad is resistive. Another thing that the Dell 7212 comes with is a nice, and bright 800 NIT daylight readable screen.
