Bob tells us about fully rugged the keyboard that comes with the U11 Rugged 2 in 1 tablet. In other videos, Bob reviewed the U11 but they had only sent the U11 without the keyboard. Bob refers to this keyboard as, "the coolest thing ever." The competition puts out detachable keyboards too but they're just not as good as this one is. One great feature of this keyboard is the carry handle that allows you to carry it like you would any rugged laptop. This makes it designed to be very mobile. The keys are nice and bouncy on this backlit keyboard. There is also an upgrade option for a rubber back-lit keyboard that would work better in wet and greasy environments. The rubber upgrade prevents liquids from getting in between the keys. This keyboard has protective plastic dividers between the keys to prevent dirt from getting in between the keys. It also comes with upgrade slots, one example being the two available USB ports on the keyboard. Those ports also have a protective rubber port cover to help prevent dirt and water from getting inside the ports. This port covers help with making it IP65 certified. Moving on to the touchpad, which is nice and wide, with nice clickable keys. This tablet and keyboard are perfect for anyone that does fieldwork. Anyone could easily remove the tablet from the keyboard, go do what needs to be done, and then when you get back to the office, everything could already be connected. Just pop it in and then their set. With a full-fledged keyboard, you can type in your reports, do anything that you need to do with the keyboard and not have to worry about an on-tablet keyboard, like this.
