Destination NAT | What is DNAT?
Bhavin Patel
Destination NAT is performed on incoming packets when the firewall translates a destination address to a different destination address; for example, it translates a public destination address to a private destination address. Destination NAT also offers the option to perform port forwarding or port translation.
Firewall: In computing, a firewall is a network security system that monitors and controls incoming and outgoing network traffic based on predetermined security rules. A firewall typically establishes a barrier between a trusted internal network and untrusted external network, such as the Internet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firewall_(computing)
