Intro to Synthesis Part 2: Synthesizer Basics

Welcome back to my Intro to Synthesis tutorial! In this video we're going to go over an overview of a typical subtractive synthesizer and cover synthesizer basics. I'll show you different oscillator (or VCO) waveforms and how they impact the frequency spectrum of the sound; how low pass filtering works (LPF) and how it impacts the frequency spectrum of the sound; how to control the envelope (ADSR) of the sound; and lastly, some general tricks of the trade and extra features along the way.
