I would like to do something that people don't do much in the crypto world and it's to look at a long term perspective of the SPS token :-). The Splinterlands governance token SPS is a very interesting asset especially from a tokenomics point of view.
Why I believe in Splinterlands
The game has been around for a long time and it has shown a track record of growing organically and in a well reflected manner. The number of users has grown exponentially over the last few months and this means that a lot of money has flown into the company. Even if there were no packs for sale for quite some time, the team makes a lot of income with the 5% tax on the traded assets in the shop and these assets have skyrocketed. The same applies for assets sold on WAX. Every transaction generates a fee for Splinterlands. Money that flows into their books. I believe that the Splinterlands company makes well enough money to continue development, which is perfect.
With the new Chaos Legion sales, many million dollars could be earned by the company. This is important because this money will allow to build the team of employees and the infrastructure. This will allow more development and more potential income for everybody involved.
With the planned land expansion and the recurring pack sales, there will always be ways to give value to the governance token.
SPS can become an extremely interesting asset
With all the development that is planned on the game, it will be easy for the team to always give new use cases to the SPS token. I can't say if the price will go up or down but I know from a tokenomics point of view, that now is the best moment to accumulate SPS tokens.
